Good project leadership is probably the single biggest factor in achieving project success, yet senior managers who sponsor, commission, or “own” a project often do not have a project management background themselves. This workshop – focused specifically on the needs of senior managers – provides a practical introduction to the structure of a project, its management, and particularly on how to monitor, control, lead and give direction effectively in a project situation.
To give more senior managers a structured understanding of the nature of projects and their dynamics that they can successfully lead staff who have to deliver them.
This workshop recognises the specific needs of more senior managers and is therefore designed to offer a flexible approach, allowing debate and exploration of the topics being covered, rather than a didactic style. The emphasis is on facilitation rather than teaching.
