18 – 22nd July – 5 Days
PRINCE2 is an important, internationally recognised, professional qualification, and delegates naturally put high importance on passing the exams.
Most accredited training courses therefore concentrate on teaching to pass the exam. But a regular comment by delegates is this can be at the expense of practical application in real projects on the front line. In contrast, although we don’t ignore the exam, our primary focus is on teaching to apply the method in real life. With this in mind:
• The courses are designed to be as practical as possible.
• The course is based around a highly realistic and engaging project case study.
• About half of every course will be spent on practical simulation, based on the case study.
• Within the case study environment you will simulate a complete project, using PRINCE2, creating the necessary documentation and carrying out all the processes so you have practical hands-on experience of using the processes and documentation.
There are no formal prerequisites – the course is suitable for both those already in a project management role and those moving into that field.
Delegates are provided with pre-course reading and exercises so they come to the training sessions pre-prepared with the terminology, the outline principles and all they need to get started on day 1. This is an important element of the course, and delegates should expect to spend up to 10 hours on this, spread over the couple of weeks before the course.
